This idea has been rolling around between my ears all week; I've been thinking about progression. I'm starting to find that I derive a lot of personal satisfaction from learning, growing; from doing better and being better than I was in the past. A fairly elementary concept, I am aware. But retrospectively I can see that the times when I've been the most unhappy have been when I am standing still instead of moving forward. It's applicable in every area, but lately it's been satisfying to be (finally) headed somewhere with school, a relationship, and jobs that drive me to acquire and hone new skills. Anyway, lately it feels great to be headed in positive directions.
"Peel the scars from off my back, I don't need them anymore..."
